Business Card Design

I finished a series of business cards for my mother's booming new art and home business, AS Art & Home. She has the most amazing art on display in Charlotte, NC at Interiors Marketplace, Post & Gray and Cotswold Marketplace, not to mention some really cool decor and home furnishings. We couldn't decide which card we liked better, so we had a few different versions printed, both horizontal and vertical. Here are the front sides of two of the cards:

Here is a photo of some of her beautiful art, furniture and decor that can be seen at the Cotswold Marketplace in Charlotte. Below is an abstract oil painting, a beautiful antique painted desk (which is one in a pair), a pair of glass bamboo column lamps and some other accessories. She truly has an eye for all things beautiful.

Invitations

This year, I have been lucky to have so many great friends, and friends of friends, that have asked me to help them with invitations, announcements, logo designs, business cards, etc. This has allowed me to begin to build a portfolio and actually get organized and make a real business out of my hobby. Here are a few examples of some of the fun invitations I have worked on in the last year or so.

Welcome!

I have had this on my agenda for a while now (well, only a few months), but it is time. Welcome to my new blog. My husband and I moved to Nashville about two years ago now so that he could attend graduate school. This town has inspired me to return to my creative roots and get involved in the things I love again. My interests are varied, but for now, my focus is on printed social stationery, invitations and announcements as well as my new antique booth in the Green Hills Antique Mall. This blog is somewhat self-serving as I reach for my own inspiration and force myself to contribute to this weekly. I hope to inspire you too, and maybe I can help you on a future project.
